Mr Damian Clark is a highly skilled consultant orthopaedic knee and trauma surgeon with extensive experience in treating both acute and chronic knee conditions. His expertise covers soft tissue and bone injuries, sports-related trauma, and degenerative knee diseases. He specialises in ligament reconstruction, including anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) repairs, as well as meniscal surgery. When joint damage is beyond repair, he performs knee replacement procedures, with a particular interest in patellar instability and chronic knee pain management. Mr Clark’s medical education began at King’s College London, followed by further training at the University of Swansea and the University of Bristol. He then completed specialist orthopaedic training within the Severn Deanery programme before earning his Fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons and the European Fellowship in 2013. His pursuit of excellence led him to international fellowships in Canada, Australia, and the UK, where he was recognised for his research contributions, winning multiple awards, including the prestigious Norman Schachar Research Award. Beyond his clinical practice, Mr Clark is actively involved in research and academic contributions, particularly in patellar instability and sports injuries. His work has been published in esteemed medical journals, covering topics such as femoral component rotation, adolescent knee instability, and patellofemoral osteoarthritis. In addition to research, he holds a consultant position at Southmead Hospital and remains an active member of the Royal College of Surgeons.
