About Dr Christopher Heaton

Dr Christopher Heaton is a leading consultant dermatologist in Hampshire (Southampton and Portsmouth) and Chichester, who treats all aspects of dermatology, including eczema, psoriasis, acne, itchy skin, infections, mole mapping, sun damage and blemishes. He is an expert in skin cancer treatments, such as surgical management of melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancers (basal cell and squamous cell carcinoma). I am highly skilled in dermoscopy and use this to confirm diagnosis where possible. Dr Heaton graduated in medicine from the University of Edinburgh and the University of St Andrew’s in 2005. He first started in dermatology in 2007 in the Portsmouth Hospitals Trust dermatology department. He completed his dermatology training in May 2016 on the Wessex rotation. Dr Heaton has performed thousands of primary and re-excision from all areas of the body in the management of both melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancer.
