About Mr Chris Wilson
Mr Chris Wilson is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon at Nuffield Health The Vale Hospital. He specialises in knee surgery, performing procedures such as knee replacement, osteotomy alignment, and hamstring tendon repair. He has a particular interest in sports injuries and is proficient in robotic-assisted surgery. Mr Wilson qualified from the University of London in 1984, and undertook surgical training in Nottingham, Cardiff, and Sydney, Australia. He is a member of several orthopaedic associations, and is two-time fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons. He is an honorary professor of Sport and Exercise Medicine at Cardiff University. Mr Wilson has been clinical director of orthopaedics for the University Hospital of Wales. He is the orthopaedic surgeon for the Cardiff City and Swansea City football clubs, and has been surgeon to the Welsh Rugby Union teams such as the Ospreys and the Dragons, local netball and judo teams, and the Welsh Institute for Sport.
