About Mr Chris Kellett
Mr Kellett is a consultant neurological and complex spinal surgeon at Nuffield Health Leeds Hospital with specialist expertise in minimally invasive spinal surgery, spinal trauma, and spinal cord injury. Mr Kellett’s clinical interests include minimally invasive spinal (MIS) surgery, endoscopic and computer-navigated procedures, day case spinal fusion, and spinal surgery under local or spinal anaesthesia. Mr Kellett’s interest in the biomechanics of the spine and sports-related injuries was sparked during his teenage years, when he played county cricket as an opening fast bowler. He went on to complete his neurosurgical training at several leading UK centres, including The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Atkinson Morley Hospital, The Royal London, King’s College Hospital, and Frenchay Hospital in Bristol. He has published extensively on conditions such as cervical myelopathy and cauda equina syndrome, and is actively involved in research into spinal cord injury. He is also leading the development of a regional service for adults with Spina Bifida. Mr Kellett is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons, the Society of British Neurological Surgeons, and the British Association of Spinal Surgeons.
