Mr Breck Lord is a leading consultant orthopaedic surgeon with advanced subspecialty training in knee surgery and specialising in sports injuries and knee replacement, based in London. He privately with the renowned OS Clinic, at Bupa Cromwell Hospital. Mr Lord treats the full spectrum of knee conditions, from sports ligament injuries to advanced osteoarthritis requiring joint replacement. He is highly proficient in managing anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) ruptures, posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) injuries, complex multi-ligament knee injuries, meniscal tears, cartilage damage, patella instability and anterior knee pain. As a specialist in knee arthritis and joint replacement surgery for patients with degenerative knee arthritis, Mr Lord offers knee osteotomy, partial knee replacement, total knee replacement. His approach is evidence-based and tailored, ensuring appropriate use on non-surgical management before recommending operative intervention. Mr Lord originally qualified from University College London in 2006. He holds the esteemed FRCS (Tr & Orth) from the Royal College of Surgeons, England, and additionally earned an MA from the University of Cambridge, as well as a PhD in Knee Reconstruction Surgery from Imperial College London. His specialised training includes a fellowship in trauma surgery at the Royal Berkshire Hospital, a fellowship in joint replacement surgery at St George’s University Hospital and the South-West London Elective Orthopaedic Centre, and an international fellowship in knee injuries and joint replacement surgery at North Sydney Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Centre and OrthoSport Victoria. Mr Lord has demonstrated throughout his career a consistent commitment to improving patient outcomes. His approach to patient care is rooted in a thorough understanding of the latest surgical techniques and a commitment to bespoke care to address the unique needs of each patient, maintaining the highest standards of practice. As a faculty member of the European Society of Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery, and Arthroscopy (ESSKA), he trains other surgeons in ACL reconstruction techniques and contributes to international best practice guidance.
