About Mr Bogdan Ivanov

Mr Bogdan Ivanov is an esteemed consultant general surgeon with an interest in laparoscopic, keyhole and upper GI surgery, based at Nuffield Health The Holly Hospital. Since 2015, Mr Ivanov has worked as a consultant surgeon at Princess Alexandra Hospital within the National Health Service (NHS), and he began private practice in 2017. He has a particular interest in laparoscopic abdominal surgery. Mr Bogdan Ivanov completed his surgical training in 2010 at a tertiary Gastrointestinal and Liver Transplant Centre in Romania, based at the Fundeni Clinical Institute in Bucharest. Later that year, he relocated to the United Kingdom, where he undertook further specialist training in advanced laparoscopic surgery, emergency surgery, and upper gastrointestinal surgery. With extensive experience in both open and laparoscopic techniques, as well as elective and emergency procedures, Mr Ivanov provides expert assessment and surgical management for a broad range of gastrointestinal conditions, including disorders of the gallbladder, stomach, and small bowel, chronic abdominal pain related to adhesions, abdominal wall pathology, hernias, and soft tissue lesions. Mr Ivanov is also a fully qualified, JAG-accredited upper gastrointestinal endoscopist. He is an active participant in national and international surgical conferences and is a fellow of the European Association of Endoscopic Surgeons, the Association of Upper Gastrointestinal Surgeons, and the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
