About Mr Anthony Owa
Mr Anthony Owa is a highly skilled consultant ENT surgeon based in London, practising at Nuffield Health Brentwood Hospital, Spire Hartswood Hospital, and Spire London East Hospital. He specialises in otolaryngology, with particular expertise in endoscopic ear surgery, otology, neuro-otology (balance disorders), paediatric ENT, and rhinology, including functional endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS). Renowned for his innovative work in ear surgery, he is the designer of the “Owa grommet”, a pioneering ventilation tube used in the treatment of glue ear (middle ear disease). After obtaining his medical degree at the University of Benin, Mr Owa completed the North Thames Otolaryngology Specialist Training Programme. He later pursued a fellowship in otology and neuro-otology at the University of Utah, where he received the American Neurotology Society Fellows Award in 2002. His commitment to academic excellence continued with an MSc in Medical Otology and Audiology from University College London in 2017, deepening his expertise in hearing and balance disorders. Dedicated to education and global health, he has trained ENT surgeons through charity surgical missions and was made a Fellow of the West African College of Surgeons for his contributions.
