About Mr Andrew Gordon
Mr Andrew Gordon is a leading consultant orthopaedic surgeon based in Sheffield, with almost three decades of experience in his specialty. His areas of expertise include hip and knee replacements, revision hip and knee replacements, arthritis, and hip and knee pain. Mr Gordon currently practises privately at Sheffield Orthopaedics Ltd. He also has extensive experience working within the NHS, currently serving as both the organisation development clinical lead and the clinical lead in the lower limb arthroplasty unit at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. Mr Gordon has an impressive educational background, first qualifying with an MbChB from the University of Sheffield in 1997. He went on to complete his surgical training in Sheffield and Nottingham, before being awarded a PhD from the University of Sheffield in 2012. He is also a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons. In addition to his clinical work, Mr Gordon is also a respected voice in medical research, having published numerous articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals including The Lancet. He is currently the Elective Clinical Director for Orthopaedics at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals having previously been the clinical lead for Lower Limb Arthroplasty. He is also on the Central Steering Committee for the National Revision Knee Network.
