About Mr Andrew Bing
Mr Andrew Bing is a highly accomplished and experienced consultant orthopaedic foot and ankle surgeon who completed his undergraduate medical training at the University of Bristol Medical School, followed by his Senior House Officer (SHO) training at the University Hospitals of Leicester. In 2002, he moved to Shropshire after securing a place on the Oswestry/Stoke Trauma and Orthopaedic Specialist Registrar Training Programme. During this rotation, he gained experience working in Telford, Dudley, Stoke-on-Trent, Shrewsbury, and Oswestry. With extensive training in Orthopaedics and Trauma and success in the Intercollegiate Board examinations, Mr Bing went on to sub-specialise in foot and ankle disorders as well as limb deformity. He spent a year in the Foot and Ankle Unit at Oswestry and dedicated the final two years of his training to developing expertise in limb deformity surgery. In addition, he completed a fellowship at the Russian Ilizarov Scientific Centre for Restorative Traumatology and Orthopaedics in Kurgan, Russia, focusing on frame surgery, particularly for foot and ankle deformities and infection-related conditions. His areas of special interest include all aspects of ankle, hindfoot, midfoot, and forefoot surgery, including procedures related to rheumatoid arthritis. He is also experienced in lower limb reconstruction, encompassing realignment surgery, post-traumatic and complex trauma reconstruction, as well as the management of infection in limb reconstruction.
