About Dr Alexandra Strachan

Dr Alex Strachan is a highly experienced and compassionate General Practitioner with more than 30 years of clinical practice across varied primary care settings. She has a strong track record in diagnosing and managing both acute and chronic conditions, with an emphasis on preventive care, patient education, and a holistic approach to health. Known for building long-term patient relationships and working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams, her special interests include women’s health, paediatrics, and palliative care. Dr Strachan earned her medical degree from Imperial College London in 1994. Following her qualification, she progressed through the NHS system and ultimately became a senior partner at an NHS practice in London. At Barnes Private Practice, she works in close partnership with Dr Alain Palacci, ensuring that their registered patients have access to care 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
