About Mr Alexander Leeper

Mr Alexander Leeper is a consultant oncoplastic and reconstructive breast surgeon with a special interest in medical aesthetics, based in London and Norfolk. His expertise includes in the management of breast lumps, pain, screenings, and as well as surgical procedures including breast reduction. In addition, he provides non-surgical facial aesthetics services. Mr Leeper qualified from the University of Edinburgh in 2005 and undertook a postgraduate MD at the Edinburgh Cancer Centre, where he developed in vitro 3D models of breast cancer, graduating in 2011. His surgical training took place across Scotland, Belfast, and Norfolk. He obtained his fellowship at the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh and was awarded a distinction in the Mastership of Surgery at the University of East Anglia. In 2020, Mr Leeper was awarded a prestigious Training Interface Group (TIG) Fellowship in Oncoplastic Breast Surgery. This fellowship provided invaluable experience in oncoplastic and aesthetic breast surgery across private and NHS hospitals in London. Mr Leeper was appointed as a consultant in oncoplastic breast surgery in 2021 at the James Paget University Hospital, and in 2024, he qualified as an aesthetician with the DermaClinic Advanced Aesthetics Training School in Norwich. In addition to his clinical practice, Mr Leeper is the principal investigator for the BEAM study in collaboration with the Quadram Institute and Barts Health Trust. His research group was recently awarded a £250,000 research grant from Breast Cancer Now. He is a board member of British Medical Experts and provides expert medicolegal advice for TMLEP. He is also listed in the Register of Medicolegal Experts. Passionate about improving medical education and care in austere environments and developing countries, Mr Leeper has spent time teaching in Nepal, training in the Solomon Islands, and working as a general surgeon in Rwanda. He is committed to delivering exceptional patient care, whether in breast cancer treatment, prevention, or aesthetic procedures.
