About Dr Abhay Bajpai

Dr Abhay Bajpai is a highly experienced consultant cardiologist in who sees patients at Epsom Hospital, St George's Hospital, London, Ashtead Hospital and Spire St Anthony's Hospital who specialises in the management of heart rhythm disorders, autonomic dysfunction, PoTS syndrome, blackout, chest pain, breathlessness and cardiovascular screening and risk reduction. He performs all varieties of complex and standard ablation procedures for correction of heart rhythm disorders, including atrial fibrillation, implantation of cardiac devices, including pacemakers and cardiac defibrillators, and cardiac resynchronisation devices for heart failure. Dr Bajpai graduated in India and moved to the UK in 1999. After completing a period of research in the field of atrial fibrillation at St George's University Hospital, London. He pursued specialty training in cardiology and electrophysiology at major London hospitals, which included King's College Hospital, St Thomas' Hospital, and St George's Hospital. He gained additional electrophysiology experience at the Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital. Dr Bajpai has written several book chapters and articles, which have been published in peer-reviewed journals. He is regularly involved as an investigator in multiple research projects in the area of atrial fibrillation and cardiac implantable devices at St George's University, London. Dr Bajpai is the Medical Director for Surrey Arrhythmia Support Group, which is a patient charity that is dedicated to patient education and community screening programmes.
