About Mr Aadil Mumith
Mr Aadil Mumith is an experienced consultant orthopaedic specialist knee surgeon based in Hampshire and Berkshire. He provides personalised care for a wide range of conditions, from sports injuries to arthritis. He has a focus on joint preservation, allowing patients to preserve their natural joint where possible. Mr Mumith is an expert in diagnosing and treating a variety of knee problems, including ACL injuries and ligament tears, meniscus tears, cartilage damage, tendon injuries, unstable kneecaps (patellofemoral instability), knee arthritis and knee alignment issues He is an international fellowship-trained consultant knee specialist who is a member of a dedicated knee unit. He is trusted by GPs, physiotherapists and fellow surgeons across the region. Known for his patient-centred approach and cutting-edge techniques, he accepts referrals across Hampshire, Berkshire and beyond. Mr Mumith is passionate about helping patients regain mobility, reduce pain and return to their active lifestyles as quickly and safely as possible. After graduating from University College London Medical School in 2008, Mr Mumith completed his postgraduate training in London and Hampshire. During his training, he undertook research at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore, and was awarded a prestigious Royal College of Surgeons of England Research Fellowship. His research led to a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from University College London, focusing on advancements in implant technology. Following his UK specialist training, Mr Mumith was selected for a Lower Extremity Reconstruction Fellowship at the University of Toronto under the Schatzker Joint Preservation Initiative, where he gained experience in one of North America’s highest-volume units. He then completed a second fellowship in arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery at The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, a European centre of excellence, where he started his consultant career. His pioneering work in limb realignment and 3D-printed implant technology has received international recognition. Alongside his clinical work, Mr Mumith is committed to research and education. He is an Honorary Assistant Professor at the University of Central Florida, a principal investigator in multiple multicentre studies, and a consultant for the medtech sector. He has published widely, serves as an editor for various medical texts, and trains other surgeons as faculty on internationally renowned courses.
