Labyrinthitis and vestibular neuritis
Labyrinthitis and vestibular neuritis are forms of inner ear infections that can impact your sense of balance. Fortunately, they often resolve on their own within a few weeks. The typical symptoms of labyrinthitis include issues with balance and coordination. In contrast, vestibular neuritis shares many of the same symptoms but does not lead to hearing loss or tinnitus. Symptoms can appear suddenly, sometimes occurring right after you wake up, and may intensify as the day progresses.
