Ingrown hairs

Ingrown hairs can lead to raised, itchy bumps where a hair has curled back into the skin. There are various ways to treat and prevent them, and usually, you won't need to visit a GP for treatment. On lighter skin, these bumps often appear red, while on darker skin tones, the redness may be less visible, but the bumps might still contrast with the surrounding skin.
