Heat exhaustion and heatstroke
Heat exhaustion typically doesn't require emergency medical assistance if you can cool down within half an hour. However, if it progresses to heatstroke, it becomes a medical emergency. The symptoms of heat exhaustion are generally similar in both adults and children, although children may also exhibit signs of irritability. If you notice someone displaying symptoms of heat exhaustion, it’s important to cool them down and provide fluids. If someone is experiencing heat exhaustion, follow these four steps:
