Giardiasis
Giardiasis is a gastrointestinal infection that leads to symptoms such as diarrhoea, flatulence, and abdominal bloating. With appropriate treatment, it typically resolves within a week, although in some cases, the illness can persist for a longer period. The infection can be transmitted through direct contact with infected individuals or animals, or by ingesting contaminated water, food, or beverages. There are various ways to contract giardiasis, and it's important to note that individuals can spread the infection to others even if they do not exhibit any symptoms.
